Our Horse Show is a two day event held on the first weekend of the rodeo. The 2012 event drew 177 entries from across West Texas. The Horse show is an open show that covers many aspects of exhibiting horses in a competitive format.

A breif history of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association
Legend has it that rodeo was born on July 4, 1869 when two groups of cowboys from neighboring ranches met in Deer Trail, CO, to settle an argument over who was the best at performing everyday ranching tasks.
